Adult Education/GED®
Education at Southern Regional Technical College moves with the speed of life, and we understand that life can sometimes change suddenly. Our Adult Education Program is designed for those individuals who need assistance with basic academic skills. Flexible programs with non-traditional classroom hours are offered so that we can meet the needs of almost anyone’s schedule.
Our services include instruction in basic skills, GED preparation and testing, ACCUPLACER test preparation, and the English Language Acquisition program. The services are free and available at various locations in Colquitt, Decatur, Early, Grady, Miller, Mitchell, Seminole, Thomas, Tift, Turner, and Worth counties. GED Testing
Available on the Bainbridge, Moultrie (Veterans Parkway), Thomasville, and Tifton Campuses.
Additional registration information may be obtained by calling the Bainbridge Campus at 229-248-2517, Moultrie Campus at 229-217-4181, Thomasville Campus at 229-225-5292, or the Tifton Campus at 229-392-2615 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

HOPE GED® Grant
Legal Residents of Georgia who earned a GED Diploma (high school equivalency credential) awarded by the Technical College System of Georgia, Office of Adult Education after June 30, 1993 may receive a one-time $500 HOPE award. This award can be used toward tuition, books, and other educational costs at an eligible public or private college, university, or technical college in a degree, diploma, or certificate program.

Classes are held in Colquitt, Decatur, Early, Grady, Miller, Mitchell, Seminole, Thomas, Tift, Turner, and Worth counties.

How do You Enroll in Classes?
For a schedule of classes, contact Southern Regional Technical College. Take a free placement test to determine your starting point.
Students attending the Adult Education Programs will not be charged tuition, fees, or any other charges, or be required to purchase any books, or any other materials, that are needed for participation in the program. (The first charge a student will incur is the charge for GED® testing.)

Is there a charge to participate in the graduation ceremony?
There is a $35 graduation fee (payable one month prior to graduation).
How do I get duplicate official transcripts or diplomas?
The original GED® Diploma and an official transcript of test scores will be provided to successful examinees by the Technical College System of Georgia, Office of Adult Education, GED® Testing Program. However, a fee will be charged for a duplicate or replacement GED® Diploma or duplicate official transcripts of test scores. Duplicate official transcripts are $15 and duplicate diplomas are $15.
