Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) has begun the planning phase of a training collaboration with downtown Thomasville’s future Courtyard by Marriott. SRTC’s Division of Economic Development is working toward building a new customer service series in partnership with Southern Lodging, LLC. The classes will serve as a component of the training process of the hotel’s team members. The series will also be open to anyone interested in improving their customer service skillset.
“This partnership will contribute to an elevated service experience for guests of Thomasville’s first modern downtown hotel, as well as any local businesses looking to enhance their own service levels,” said SRTC’s Vice President of Economic Development, Dennis Lee.
“We selected the subject matter to appeal to a broad group of businesses and individuals,” commented Jeremy Emmett, Chief Operating Officer of Southern Lodging, LLC. “Customer service training is often taken for granted, even though it is vitally important to the success of almost every kind of business. We are proud of Thomasville and hope that this class will help our community put their best foot forward when interacting with citizens and visitors to our town alike.“
