Business Technology, Diploma (Medical Administrative Assistant Specialization) (BA22-8M12) Diploma
Program Description: The Business Technology (Medical Administrative Specialization) program is designed to prepare graduates for employment in a variety of positions in today’s technology-driven workplaces. The Business Technology program provides learning opportunities, which introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications software. Students are also introduced to accounting fundamentals, electronic communications, internet research, and electronic file management. The program includes instruction in effective communication skills and technology that encompasses office management and executive assistant qualifications. Also provided are opportunities to upgrade present knowledge and skills or to retrain in the area of business administrative technology. Graduates of the program receive a Business Technology Diploma with a specialization in Medical Administrative Assistant.

Age: Applicant must be 16 years of age or older.
Education: An applicant must be a high school graduate or the equivalent (GED). College transcripts will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Advisor: A Program Advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course. An advisor will be assigned by admissions.
Program Final Exit Point: Business Technology, Diploma.
Credits Required for Graduation: 55 minimum semester hour credits required for graduation.
