The Economic Development division offers a wide array of continuing education opportunities for individuals and companies including American Heart Association CPR certification for providers and instructors, driver’s education 36-hour course for 15 to 17-year-old children, ServSafe Food Handling certifications through the National Restaurant Association, and many online classes via our online training partners.
Through a new partnership with online healthcare education provider Health Ed Today, SRTC now offers a Pharmacy Technician Program. The new program is a non-credit offering and is delivered through the Economic Development division. This comprehensive 50-hour program will prepare students to work as a Pharmacy Technical in hospitals, retail, or other pharmacy setting and to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. There is also a required 80-hour clinical externship.
Ed2Go: Online Courses & Training
SRTC now offers hundreds of online continuing education courses through Ed2Go, a national education service. Courses are very diverse and range from computer and software courses to Braille, Accounting, How to Use E-Bay, French and Spanish, Management, Homeschooling, Hypnosis, Health, LSAT and SAT preparation, Music, Math, Management, How to start a non-profit, Legal Issues, Criminal Justice, Real Estate, Writing Romance Novels, Supervision, Web Design and many, many more.
