Cole Posey Named Director of Economic Development for SRTC-Moultrie

Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) recently named Cole Posey Director for Economic Development for the Moultrie Campus.

“It is my pleasure to welcome Cole to the Economic Development Division of Southern Regional Technical College. His background, experience, and enthusiasm will provide a fresh approach to the economic development activities at the Moultrie location,” commented Dennis Lee, Vice President for Economic Development at SRTC.

In his new role, Posey is responsible for facilitating relationships between local business and industry partners and the College. SRTC’s Department of Economic Development and the Technical College System of Georgia as a whole are committed to providing workforce development activities that supplement the credit offerings at the College. Additionally, Posey will be the primary point of contact for local facility rentals, continuing education courses, personal enrichment courses, customized training, and a multitude of other non-credit offerings at the College.

“This is an exciting opportunity for me, both professionally and personally. Recently, Colquitt County has been able to generate significant positive economic momentum and I look forward to doing my part in continuing that success. It is my hope that this role will allow me to strengthen the relationship between Southern Regional Technical College and Colquitt County business and industry, and facilitate high-level, customized business and industry training solutions for our area,” commented Mr. Posey.

Posey received his Master of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership from Amberton University in 2016 and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia College and State University in 2008. Since July 2014, Posey has served as the Director of Marketing, Public Relations, and Communications for Southern Regional Technical College. Prior to joining the College, he was the Executive Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Macon, GA. He currently serves as a member of the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is a member of the GeorgiaForward Board of Directors. GeorgiaForward is a statewide non-profit and economic development think tank focused on grooming the next generation of forward-thinking leaders. Posey is currently enrolled in the Georgia Academy of Economic Development.
