Adult Education at Southern Regional Technical College
Southern Regional Technical College now offers multiple options for achieving your high school equivalency. Two computer-based testing (CBT) pathways are available through testing centers or proctored at home: the GED® test or the HiSET® exam. The services are free and available online and at various locations in Colquitt, Decatur, Early, Grady, Miller, Mitchell, Seminole, Thomas, Tift, Turner, and Worth counties.
Earn your GED for FREE
Eligible Georgia residents can now apply for an award not to exceed $200 to cover the cost of the GED® examination. The HOPE HSE Grant is available once per subject area exam to those who qualify. Effective July 1, 2023, the price of the in-person GED test is $46 per subject test or $184 for all subjects. The online proctored GED test will remain $46 per subject test or $184 for all subjects. The HOPE High School Equivalency Examination Grant will continue to cover this cost for eligible individuals.
HOPE GED Vouchers
Did you earn your GED prior to June 30, 2022? If so, to discuss options for redeeming your HOPE GED Voucher, recipients can contact the Student Affiars Office at admissions@southernregional.edu.
Adult Basic Education includes the following services:
- Adult Literacy face-to-face and online free classes
- Career Training (IET)
- English Classes
- GED test & HiSET exam Preparation classes (Math, Science, Social Studies and English Language Arts)
