Amy Brock Named SRTC’s Dean of Health Sciences

Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) recently named Amy Brock MSN, RN the college’s new the Dean of Health Sciences. As Dean, Brock is responsible for both administrative and instructional tasks, as well as planning, evaluation, and supervision for all programs within the School of Health Sciences. The health programs under the umbrella of the School of Health Sciences are Echocardiography, Emergency Medical Services, Health Information Management Technology, Medical Assisting, Medical Laboratory Technology, Paramedicine, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Care, and Surgical Technology.

“I am honored to be selected for the position of Dean of Health Sciences,” said Brock. “It is exciting to have the opportunity to collaborate with the esteemed members of our faculty as we lead student success here at SRTC. I look forward to cultivating a harmonious alliance among the diverse modalities present in the ever-evolving field of Health Sciences. There are positive developments transpiring, and I am pleased to have the privilege of contributing my efforts toward them.”

From 2020 to 2023, Brock served SRTC as an Associate of Science Nursing instructor. Before becoming an educator, Brock gained extensive experience as a healthcare provider in Oncology, Endoscopy, and Emergency Departments. As a Registered Nurse, she provided patient care in hospitals and clinics in Albany, GA; Savannah, GA; Moultrie, GA; and Greenville, NC. She also served as an Urgent Care Family Nurse Practitioner for the Phoebe Physician Group in Albany, GA. Brock earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama in 2018. Prior to her MSN, she held a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and an Associate Degree in General Education.
