Join the SRTC-Tifton Chapter of NTHS in Making Cards for Hospitalized Kids

Thank you for participating in this service project!

Please follow these instructions for making general cards for kids.
General cards are cards that have a general uplifting message, rather than one specific to a hospital or season. These cards are distributed year-round, rather than during a specific time of year.

  1. Gather Supplies
You can make a card with simply crayons and paper, or you can gather a bunch of supplies like stickers, markers & glue on craft decals. It is entirely up to you.
DO NOT use any products that can fall off or rub off like glitter.
  2. Address the Card
Do not address the card to a specific person. If you want to address the card, here are some suggestions:
”Hey there!” “Hey You!” “To: A very special kid”
  3. Write the Card
At the request of hospitals do not to write "Get well", "Feel Better" or other illness related comments. They recommend writing the following uplifting messages:
“Stay strong” “You are awesome” “Never forget how amazing YOU are” “You rock” “I hope you have a great day today” “You inspire me” “I believe in YOU”
  4. Do Not:
Do not include any personal information. Just sign the card with your first name and the state you live in. Do not write any religious comments.

THANK YOU again for helping us brighten the days of kids in hospitals. For more card ideas and more detailed instructions, visit the organization online here: http://www.cardsforhospitalizedkids.com/make-general-cards.html

AT SRTC-Tifton, students may drop off cards outside of room D-106. The club will collect cards until March 15. For more information about this project, please email LDancer@southenregional.edu.
