On the evening of November 5, 2025, the Moultrie chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) at Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) inducted 12 new members into the organization. The formal ceremony was held at SRTC’s Thomasville campus. The 2025 Fall NTHS inductees were Torrey R. Edwards, Janyra Garcia, Maria G. Gachuz-Zamorano, Karen A. Hernandez-Barradas, Jackeline Jesus-Trujillo, Mirmi Lopez, Brooklyn G. Massey, Crista McMurphy, Wesley S. Mims, Jr., Aimee M. Radford, Efrain Sifuentes, and Jaelyn E. Wier.
"It was such an honor to induct such a wide variety of students from our Technical Programs here at SRTC," said Moultrie NTHS Advisor Carolyn Jones. "Congratulations to each of these outstanding students on this well-deserved achievement. Their dedication and hard work exemplify the values of excellence that NTHS represents." Jones also extended special thanks to Leigh Wallace, Executive Vice President and Vice President for Student Affairs, for her welcoming remarks and for sharing this momentous occasion with NTHS.
As a national organization, the purpose of NTHS is to promote the ideals of honesty, service, leadership, career development, and skilled workmanship. NTHS rewards meritorious achievement in technical education and assists technical students in their pursuit of educational and career goals. Nationwide, NTHS works to develop a greater awareness within the American business, industry, and service communities about the talents and abilities of students engaged in technical education, and provides technical students with a greater awareness of the world of work.
Benefits of membership in NTHS include a diploma or certificate seal indicating membership, three letters of recommendation sent upon request to any business, industry, or educational institution where member applies, and an excellent resume entry denoting leadership and participation in a student organization. To maintain eligibility for membership, the student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
