SRTC Crime Scene Investigation Degree Named Among Most Affordable CSI Programs

SRTC’s Crime Scene Investigation Associate of Applied Science Degree has been recognized as one of the most affordable CSI programs in the nation by Crime Scene Investigator EDU.

In a field that relies on professionals who are as skilled at collecting and preserving evidence as they are at analyzing and uncovering useful information from it, an associate’s degree can provide the entry-level skills CSI technicians are expected to have.

Senior editor of Crime Scene Investigator EDU Tony Smith commented, “We took on the task of reviewing the tuition rates of every single CSI associate’s program available at accredited institutions across the U.S. When we came to Southern Regional Technical College, we knew right away we were looking at a winner.”

The Crime Scene Investigator EDU website explains that at SRTC, students will receive “a blended education at SRTC that will boost career opportunities far beyond simply gathering evidence at crime scenes. The school believes in developing academic, occupational, and professional knowledge to help graduates both land a job in CSI and to advance within the profession. A combination of criminal justice and forensic lab theory is presented through courses such as Principles of Law Enforcement and Ethical and Cultural Perspectives on Criminal Justice. A strong series of laboratory forensics courses round out studies in scientific knowledge with basics in anatomy and physiology as well as chemistry and advanced computer concepts.”

“As a program that offers exceptional quality at a reasonable price, the Southern Regional Technical College AAS in Crime Scene Investigation easily earns its place on our list of the Best Value Associate’s Degrees in Crime Scene Investigations,” said Smith.
