Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) celebrated the achievements of 11 Criminal Justice graduates during a Challenge Coin Ceremony held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at SRTC-Thomasville.

The graduates include: Gisselle Cerecedo, Jeremiah Florence, Shationa Florence, Caiden Goldinger, Sedrick Green, Gabriella Hendley, Kyra Kinsey, Ty Levens, Jennifer Pablo, Erica Peel, and Lily Sherrard.

The challenge coin tradition represents excellence, commitment, and the unique bond shared among those in law enforcement. These symbolic tokens mark the graduates' successful completion of the SRTC Criminal Justice program and welcome them into the law enforcement community.

"This ceremony represents more than just an academic milestone," said Rusty Day, Criminal Justice Program Chair. "These graduates have demonstrated the dedication and professionalism that define our program, and we're proud to see them take this important step toward serving their communities in law enforcement."

SRTC offers multiple Criminal Justice pathways to meet diverse student needs and career goals. The college provides four credential options: Criminal Justice Associate of Science (AS) degree, Criminal Justice Technology Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree, Criminal Justice Technology Diploma, and Criminal Justice Specialist Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC). These comprehensive programs prepare students for diverse Criminal Justice professions through learning opportunities that develop academic, occupational, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The programs emphasize a combination of Criminal Justice theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates are prepared to pursue opportunities in corrections, security, investigative, and police administration fields. Current practitioners benefit through enhancement of career potential, while entry-level students gain the foundation needed to begin their law enforcement careers.

The honored graduates completed their coursework in Summer 2025 and are eligible to participate in SRTC's formal graduation ceremony on July 29, 2025 at SRTC-Bainbridge.
