For the 2026 summer semester, which began May 19, the Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) Foundation awarded scholarships to 50 students totaling $69,250. This summer's scholarship awards reflect SRTC's ongoing commitment to student success, with the Foundation awarding $69,250 to 50 students for the 2026 summer semester. This growth is a testament to both increased donor generosity and the college’s rising enrollment. The college has experienced exceptional enrollment expansion, achieving a 30.4% enrollment increase from Academic Year 2021 to Academic Year 2025, marking twelve consecutive semesters of growth through Summer 2026. This sustained growth demonstrates SRTC's expanding role in serving the educational needs of the region, while the Foundation's increased scholarship support ensures that financial barriers don't prevent deserving students from pursuing their career and educational goals.

“On behalf of the SRTC Foundation Board of Trustees, congratulations to each of these students on their summer 2026 scholarship awards. This is a very competitive process, and we are proud to celebrate our students’ accomplishments. Thank you to all of our generous donors who make awarding these scholarships possible,” commented Christina Reneau, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement.

The application period for fall scholarships is currently open, and applications may be submitted until July 15. Current and future SRTC students may apply for Foundation scholarships online: https://southernregional.edu/scholarships.
