SRTC Nurse Aide Graduates Honored in Pinning Ceremony

On Tuesday, September 24, Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) recognized twelve graduating Nurse Aide Accelerated students at a pinning ceremony at SRTC-Thomasville honoring their achievements. The program honored students from the SRTC-Thomasville cohort:

Chamberlyn Cooney of Thomasville, Akia Corker of Pelham, Chelsea Crumbley of Camilla, Zakendra Florence of Camilla, Tysheria Jenkins of Morven, Kearia Lammons of Camilla, Janaiya Roberts of Pelham, Hannah Robinson of Thomasville, Iesha Ross of Camilla, Nikeya Russell of Camilla, Dorzel Williford of Camilla, and Geneisus Wilson of Thomasville.

The Nurse Aide Accelerated Technical Certificate of Credit Program is approved by the Georgia Medical Care Foundation. During their five-week accelerated program, the students completed the classroom training, laboratory practice, and clinical rotations required to earn their Nurse Aide certification. These graduates are now eligible to sit for the National Nurse Aide Assessment program which determines competency to become enrolled in the Georgia State Nurse Aide registry.

"These students have demonstrated exceptional dedication and perseverance over the past five weeks. Their hard work, both in the classroom and in clinical settings, speaks volumes about their commitment to providing compassionate, quality care,” said Nurse Aide Accelerated instructor Karen Kelso, RN, MSN.
