On Thursday, November 13, Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) honored graduating SRTC Radiologic Technology students during a ceremony at SRTC’s Thomasville campus. Twenty seniors were recognized at the awards ceremony and received pins to mark the completion of their program requirements: Brenda Arredondo, Misty Blackburn-Moody, Taylor Chason, Kendall Croley, Kendall Cross, Rebeca Cruz-Gomez, Iris Gomez-Vasquez, Yasmyn Hopkins, Jacey Keyton, Mahogony Mango, Tyti’ana Mathis, Collin (Levi) McClelland, Kia McCloud, Tigeria McCray, Taylor Moyer, Jessica Parga, Jared Russell, Kachria Singleton, Kennedy Sweet, and Angel Turner.
"This is a tremendous accomplishment for these graduates, and we couldn't be prouder of their success," said Buffie Spencer, Radiologic Technology Program Chair. "They've worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone, and now they're ready to begin their careers as certified radiologic technologists. We're excited to see them take what they've learned and make a real difference in healthcare. Congratulations to each of them as they move forward into this next chapter."
The Radiologic Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree Program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for positions in radiology departments and related businesses and industries. The program emphasizes a combination of didactic and clinical instruction necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science degree, have the qualifications of a Radiographer, and are eligible to sit for a national certification examination for Radiographers. Following the completion of core requirements, this program can be completed in four semesters.
Southern Regional Technical College offers over 150 degree, diploma, and certificate programs that are designed to get students quickly into their desired careers, and 38 general education courses that transfer to the University System of Georgia institutions and 19 private colleges and universities in Georgia.
