Southern Regional Technical College’s (SRTC) Surgical Technology program held its pinning ceremony on August 3rd, marking the program completion of ten students: Courtney Newell of Moultrie, Teena Lundy of Thomasville, Erica McGuire of Thomasville, Savannah Denham of Thomasville, Ebonee Butts of Quitman, Haley McDonald of Valdosta, Jeffrey Demps of Cairo, Jose Huerta, Jr. of Moultrie, Amber Burgess of Cairo, and Haley Davis of Camilla.

Stephanie Pierce, SRTC Surgical Technology Program Director, commented, “I would like to express my utmost praise to these students for completing the program, as well as my heartfelt compliments on their success. I would also like to thank their families and other loved-ones for the tremendous support they have extended up until this memorable moment. I sincerely hope my students will remember in the future that they were once students, and proudly teach and instruct others about this great profession. It has been a great pleasure being your instructor for the past year, and I wish you good luck on your future endeavors.”

Guest speaker April Thomas, RN, BSN, CST of Grady General Hospital shared words of encouragement and offered her well-wishes for the new graduates as they begin their careers in healthcare.
