Tifton SRTC Nursing Class Achieves 100% Pass Rate on Board Exams

Posted on

Spring semester graduates from Southern Regional Technical College’s (SRTC) Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program in Tifton achieved a 100% passage on their National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). The NCLEX exam is a standardized exam that each state board of nursing uses to determine whether or not a candidate is prepared for entry-level nursing practice.

Frankiesha Collier of Pinehurst, Perla Escolero of Tifton, Logan Giddens of Ray City, Tyler Goodwin of Sylvester, Joshua Jordan of Tifton, Shana McDermott of Tifton, Tanja Morris of Ocilla, Jessica Mullis of Sparks, Laquita Smith of Moultrie, Chaidrianna Terry of Sylvester, Jennifer Viveros of Ty Ty, Kenslee Webb of Tifton, and Megan Wilson of Chula completed coursework in late Spring. They were pinned in May of 2024 and participated in the college’s commencement ceremony on July 30. Each graduate passed their board exam on the first attempt. This 100% first-attempt pass rate is a major accomplishment for this program and its students, as that percentage is well above the national average for nursing programs.

“We are immensely proud of the May 2024 Tifton cohort,” said SRTC’s Dean of Nursing Bobbie Hester, RN, MSN. “This outstanding accomplishment is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and the rigorous training provided by our faculty. Our students have demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skills, setting a high standard for future healthcare professionals.”

SRTC’s Nursing program consistently exceeds its goals, demonstrated by high board exam passage rates and successful employment in the medical field. Notably, all graduates from this cohort have already secured positions in the field as Registered Nurses.

SRTC offers over 150 degree, diploma, and certificate programs that are designed to get you quickly into your desired career, and 28 general education courses that transfer to the University System of Georgia institutions and 19 private colleges and universities in Georgia.
