Paramedic Trauma Care EMSP 2104

This course addresses the recognition, assessment, and management of traumatic injuries by the paramedic in the
prehospital environment. Emphasis is placed on trauma systems, injury prevention, pathophysiology, and evidencebased treatment strategies for various trauma types including soft tissue, musculoskeletal, abdominal, thoracic, head,spine, and multi-system trauma. Students will develop decision-making skills through simulation and scenario-based
practice.
