To better suit the busy schedule of the community, the classes will take place after work from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs aerobics room of the Student Wellness Center at SRTC Bainbridge.

Professional yoga instructor, Hannah Harrison, will be leading the classes. She is excited to share the joy and benefits, both physically and mentally, of yoga with Bainbridge and the surrounding area. Harrison specializes in the practice of yoga to manage chronic pain, addiction, anxiety, and depression.

“The mental and physical benefits are amazing,” said Harrison. “I’ve been doing yoga for over four years now and it helps me with my chronic pain caused by an autoimmune disorder. It has also helped me with my anxiety and depression.”

During her time teaching yoga, Harrison has seen it help others as it has helped her. “After class, my students always tell me how much better they feel and that’s what pushes me and makes me want to teach more and more—and help more people.”

Some of the other benefits of practicing yoga include

  • Decreased Stress
  • Improved Heart Health
  • Promotes Sleep Quality
  • Improves Flexibility & Balance
  • Relieves Migraines
  • Increases Strength

The class sessions are open to men and women of all ages. Rates are $24 for 4 sessions or $8 per session.
