How to Apply Online: Dual Enrollment

1. Go to Southern Regional Technical College’s website at https://southernregional.edu and click Apply Now!

  • New Students: Create a new account for the Online Application/Student Portal.
  • As first-time users, students will need to click on ‘Click Here to Register’.
  • Students will enter their First Name, Last Name, and Personal Email Address. Students need to use a personal email address they have access to and will check often.
  • After clicking the ‘Submit’ button, a thank you message will appear, prompting students to check their email for a link to set their password.
  • SRTC Returning Students: Log in with the previous email address and password OR click ‘Forgot Password’ and enter the personal email address that is on file with SRTC, and click ‘Request Password’.

2. Check your email account.

  • Students will receive an email from admissions@southernregional.edu.
  • After clicking the ‘Set Password’ button in that email, students will be directed to a page where they can type in their desired password.
  • Students will then be logged into the Student Portal.
  • Students need to make note of their email address and password for the Student Portal. This username and email will be used anytime you apply for SRTC.

3. Fill Out Your Application.

  • On the main page of the SRTC Portal, students will start a new application by clicking ‘Start a New Application’.
  • Students will choose ‘Dual Enrollment’ as their application type, their SRTC campus, program type, desired program, and term they are applying to attend. If the student is unsure of the name of the program, select the one that most closely aligns with their desired program. This can be changed by SRTC staff.
  • Students will then fill out the application with their information and click the ‘Review Application’ button on the right side or bottom of the page. Please note: If you do not have a legal social security number, enter 111111111 as the social.
  • After verifying their information is correct, students will click the ‘Submit Your Application’ button on the right side or bottom of the page.

4. Using the Student Portal and checking application status.

  • Students can use the SRTC Portal to check on the status of their application

5. Complete the GAFutures funding application at GAFutures.org. Students will complete a new funding application each school year. View step-by-step instructions here.

What’s Next?

Students will receive an acceptance letter with their Student Technology login information, Dual Enrollment Orientation, and more! This will be sent to the email account used to create their Student Portal login as instructed above. Please note that all of your SRTC classes may not appear on your SRTC schedule until close to the beginning of the semester. We suggest that students check their email frequently for important information and reach out if they have questions.
